SPORANOX (generic)

Sporanox is used to treat fungus infections on nails and skin. Sporanox kills sensitive fungi cell destroying membranes.
How Taken
Sporanox comes in capsules to be taken by mouth with a full meal. Usual dosage is 100mg or 200mg two times a day.
Warnings/Precautions
Notify your doctor if you experience symptoms of liver dysfunction, such as– unusual fatigue, anorexia, nausea and/or vomiting, jaundice, dark urine or pale stools. You will need to do biochemical testing in this case. Sporanox tablets can change your metabolism.
Missed Dose
If you miss a dose take it as soon as you remember. However if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the Missed Dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.
Possible Side Effects
Some of the Possible Side Effects are- constipation, dizziness, flushing, giddiness, headache, heartburn, heat sensation, lightheadedness, nausea, weakness. Contact your doctor if any of these or other side effects occur. If you experience any of the following serious side effects, you should seek medical attention immediately- allergic reactions (rash, hives, itching, difficulty breathing, tightness in the chest, swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue), irregular pulse, shortness of breath, swelling of the feet or hands, tender, bleeding, or swollen gums.
Storage
Store this medication at room temperature, between 59 –86 °F (15 –30 °C) in a tightly closed container. Keep away from heat, moisture, and light (not in the bathroom). Keep the medication out of the reach of children.
Overdose
If overdose is suspected, seek medical attention immediately. Some of the possible symptoms of overdose are- dizziness, fainting, loss of consciousness, rapid, slow, or irregular heartbeat.

Consult with your doctor if your symptoms do not go away within a few weeks (or months for some infections), and/ or if the condition worsens.
